RITE-SIZE formula for natural augmentation

RITE-SIZE

Most women presenting for breast augmentation desire a result proportionate with their body, resulting in alluring, feminine, and sensual curves, with a naturally beautiful appearance.  Selecting implants that are too large may result in several adverse outcomes.  Artificially oversized breasts overpower other features, diverting attention away from facial beauty.  Breast skin may become stretched, causing implants to sag downward over time, and become uncomfortable.  Participation in active sports becomes more challenging, and fashions that fit well are harder to find.  Nipple sensation may diminish.

Alternatively, insufficient augmentation resulting in a barely noticeable result is also disappointing, and a potential source of dissatisfaction.
So how does one best select the best size breast implant, given the wide variety of body types, breast sizes and shapes, implant sizes available, and unique needs of each woman?
After performing many hundreds of breast augmentation procedures for over twenty years, Dr. Steve Laverson applies his RITE-SIZE formula, which has resulted in many happy women and zero revisions for dissatisfaction with imlant size in the past ten years.  This formula considers each woman’s breast base width, her available skin quality, pre-existing amount of breast tissue, and desired final cup size.
Recognizing that there is no “one size fits all” approach, nor is there a perfect size for all occasions and outfits even for each individual woman, Dr. Laverson believes RITE-SIZE is as perfect a method as any for selecting the correct implant.
Once the implants have been chosen according to RITE-SIZE, each woman tries them on beneath a tight fitting top to confirm.  We also offer 3-D Portrait surgical simulation photography to demonstrate what her body will look like after augmentation.  Typical results can be seen in the  feelbeautiful.com breast augmentation gallery.

Improved treatment for axillary hyperhidrosis (excessive armpit sweating)

Axillary (armpit) perspiration

Excessive armpit sweating affects 1.4% of the U.S. population, and can be extremely disabling. Affected individuals are restricted in occupation, dress, social activities, and the condition is disruptive in many aspects of daily living. Recent introduction of the Delfin Vapometer which reliably measures the rate of sweating has demonstrated the effectiveness of a minor surgical procedure that offers a reliable cure: Suction-assisted arthroscopic shaving. The procedure takes 1-2 hours, and general anesthesia is preferred. A small opening is made adjacent to the armpit, and skin is elevated. The sweat glands are then shaved away and suctioned with a specialized arthroscopic device. A drain and bandage are applied, but both are removed the day after surgery. Resolution of excessive sweating is instant, return to work averages four days, and post surgical Vapometer readings are performed 1-3 months afterward to measure effectiveness of the procedure. Relief should be permanent, and cost of the procedure, including anesthesia, surgery center, and post surgical care is about $6000.

Lady GaGa

Lady Gaga is well known for her appearance, which ranges from beyond avant-garde style choices to prosthetics glued on to her body. Still with all her playing with the idea of body modifications, Lady Gaga insists that she’s never been under the knife for plastic surgery.

25-year old pop performer Lady Gaga opened up her views on plastic surgery, despite rumors of having had rhinoplasty and liposuction and breast augmentation in the past (See Make Me Heal’s story on Lady Gaga’s plastic surgery).

In the May issue of U.S. Harper’s Bazaar, she revealed, “I have never had plastic surgery, and there are many pop singers who have.”

“I think promoting insecurity in the form of plastic surgery is infinitely more harmful than an artistic expression related to body modification.”

“And how many models and actresses do you see on magazine covers who have brand-new faces and have had plastic surgery, while I myself have never had any plastic surgery?”

On his blog, OcBody plastic surgeon Dr. John Di Saia writes, “Lady Gaga plays the media like a violin so her motivations are not always easy to understand. Images of her before her fame are hard to come by and she modifies her appearance constantly via numerous elaborate outfits. In few words, that makes her hard to figure on the question of plastic surgery. How she justifies significant modification via non surgical means and denounces anything surgical is kinda arbitrary as well.”

“On her vow to never have plastic surgery, she is only 25. Give her time.”

On his blog, plastic surgeon Dr. Anthony Youn writes, “So strange.  I would bet on makeup, since body modification like this (implanting metal rods), especially if performed by a non-plastic surgeon, is extremely painful and fraught with complications.   Her music is pretty darn catchy though!”

Miami plastic surgeon Dr. Michael Salzhauer says, “It looks like Lady Gaga may not have been born that way.  She appears to have had a very conservative Rhinoplasty and clearly uses Botox to give her that perfectly smooth forehead.”

Lady Gaga certainly knows how to create controversy, both with her songs and public statements, but mostly with her outlandish appearances.
